Zeva Oelbaum was Executive Producer of the documentary film, Rene and I, a film about Irene Hizme and her twin brother Rene Slotkin. The film explores their survival as small children at Auschwitz and the stunning coincidences that led to their reunion after the war. Only 8 years old at Liberation, they
were sent to opposite ends of the globe, before being
reunited 4 years later.
Zeva was awarded a prestigious grant by the Women in Film Foundation, to help finance completion of Rene and I.
